Garmin Nuvi 660
I own a Garmin Nuvi 660. I like the big screen it has the most. It makes inputting addresses easier while you are driving (which I know you're not supposed to do!). Also, the navigation on it is quite accurate. I actually just got back from a huge roadtrip in which I drove from Georgia to California and back, and the GPS navigation made getting lost a thing of the past.
Another benefit of traveling with a GPS unit like this one is that you can find lodging easily in new towns and call up the hotel/motel with the hands free blue tooth connection. It's quite convenient. The one bad thing about the Garmin GPS units is that I wish that you didn't have to pay extra to receive traffic updates. I think it's ridiculous that that isn't included in the price.

"I have a Garmin nuvi 660. I love it because I can get lost in a paper bag, but since I got my Garmin, I haven't had to call my husband once to tell me how to get me back on track when I have gotten turned around. I also like the ability to search locations without a specific business name (i.e. grocery store). I use it to go everywhere, even places I go often, because it also has traffic alerts so I don't get stuck in jams due to construction or accidents.
There are some things I would like to see added in future models. One would be a searchable guide with reviews for restaurants, hotels, etc. I also wish it could tell me which via points are closest to my already established route, instead of just which one is closest to me at that point. This has caused me to go farther off the beaten path than I wanted to a few times. Overall, I think it was a great value and compared to other options, I would pick it again. "

I own a Garmin 660. What I love the most about it are 2 things.
1. It states the street you need to turn on. Instead of just saying turn left in .6 miles it will say turn left on (the name of the street). This really helps you not make a wrong turn.
2. I love that it automatically recalculates the minute you make a wrong turn and can get you to your destination no matter if you try to go a back way or you simply want to try a new route.
I also love that the light contrast changes at night. I love the bigger flat screen as opposed to chunky models. I travel on vacations with in mostly in the North East but use it daily for work. I'm a pet sitter and we need directions to houses daily.
The one thing I'd like to see is if you could plug in a name of a place (since you may not know the address) and it then can take you to that place. For example if you know a restaurants name or a bar, sports arena, museum, etc. Now if you go to restaurants (for example) you have to scroll through them all. There should be an easier way to plug in names for places. I'd like to see the volume be easier to change to. I button on the GPS would be easier to change when you're driving then to have to go to a screen.
