Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS System

My GPS device is the Garmin Nuvi 350. I have used it in New York, Washington, California, British Colombia, and Quebec. Once an address is entered, I really like the voice prompts, map display, and ability to choose a new route if the original route is unavailable or if I miss a turn.

My problems with this device are due to the user interface. The touch-input keyboard does not use the familiar QWERTY layout, making typing slow. Pressing a key does not always work, requiring an additional keypress. The auto-completion feature is difficult to use because when I think I'm about to type another character, the keyboard disappears and shows the completion choices. I have accidentally chosen the wrong auto completion choice because of this.

The Nuvi 350 has a lot of difficulty finding streets in Quebec. It was only useful in map mode (without providing directions) while I was in Montreal over the summer. My maps are now more than 4 years old, because a new freeway entrance in San Francisco is not available, resulting in sub-optimal directions in my home city.
