Garmin Forerunner 205
I have a Garmin Forerunner 205, which I received as a Christmas gift two years ago. Although it is not something that I would have purchased on my own, it has been an invaluable tool in keeping track of my running. Thanks to the Garmin, I am able to log my daily and weekly miles accurately as well as pace and lap times.
The device is useful both for training and racing, and has improved my pacing and overall performance at distances ranging from the mile to the marathon. The one thing that I would improve about the Forerunner 205 if possible would be its ability to connect and stay connected to the satellites that it uses. The device sometimes takes a frustratingly long time to connect, and at times has actually begun subtracting distance from my total as I was running. Yet overall, I would give it very high marks.
