Garmin StreetPilot c340 Review

January 23, 2009

Easy to use right out of the box, easy to understand the voice prompts, fairly accurate on turns and positioning. Usually use it for driving inside of NY State, also occasionally to PA, and once to drive to Toronto, Canada.
Unfortunately the product is no longer produced, but I wish the on-screen keyboard had a QWERTY [...]

January 23, 2009

Hello!
I have a Garmin Forerunner 205, I got it as a gift two years ago. It has helped my running tremendously, and continued the excitement to when I come home. I can program maps and courses into it, as well as track my progress from every run.
I don’t like that it sometimes takes what feels [...]

The brand GPS I have is the TOMTOM GO 920T. I bought this exact model for two reasons mainly. Firstly I needed to either buy one with European maps or upload maps to one that didn’t have them. This model had them pre-loaded which saved me around $100. Secondly the AAFES at Fort Polk had [...]

Garmin Edge 705

January 15, 2009

I have a Garmin Edge 705. It is made for driving, mountain biking or walking, and I find it very effective – especially with the simple data cards which can be inserted into the back to give different maps.
It has a simple interface with a small joystick to navigate the well designed menus. It gives [...]

TomTom One v3

January 15, 2009

My favorite feature is the automatic recalculation option. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to miss a turn or change my route at a moment’s notice. The TomTom doesn’t skip a beat, it recalculates the route and continues with verbal instructions. Awesome!
I generally use it to find easier routes through Houston and surrounding [...]

January 15, 2009

My boss bought a Tom Tom 910 GPS Navigation System to use for meetings at potential clients homes about 18 months ago. I was very intimidated at the thought of trying to figure out how to use it since I do not consider myself computer savvy at all. I would take it along to meetings [...]
